So stoked to have Mikey joining the BHTC Crew! For Mikey, art has always been a major part of his life and a passion at a very young age. Growing up he loved drawing comics and always excited to finish a drawing up after school. He found art as means to explore the world in a bigger way, giving him the motivation to push himself to improve and meet new people. Art became his happiness.
After high school and unsure of what to do with his life, Mikey decided to join the US Army as a method to better his life. He served in the US Army for 6 years including 15 months in Iraq. Go Mikey!
After the army he was given the opportunity to apprentice in a shop in El Paso, TX in 2011. He missed the art that once brought him so much happiness and decided to give it a shot. He quickly realized a career in tattooing was what he was meant to do. After years of tattooing experience, working with many different artists and developing his skill, Mikey is on top of his game while always working hard to constantly improve.
Mikey's favorite tattoo styles include new school, neo-traditional and color realism. He always enjoys creating tattoos of animals!
In his free time, Mikey enjoys painting graffiti while listening to some Van Morrison. He once drove the 80's hairmetal band Ratt around Waterbury in Jamie Jasta's Ford Taurus Wagon. Yeah, that happened.
If you would like to add a little color to your life and get tattooed by Mikey, please contact the shop to make an appointment/set up a consultation!
