Shannon Carichner was born in 1990 in CT. She spent much of her childhood exploring all types of art which was influenced by her love of the outdoors, books, fantasy, and of animals. Although mostly self-taught, Shannon took a variety of art classes in high school and college. She continued learning on her own.
Shannon enjoys trying different mediums and styles. She has worked with everything from pencil and charcoal to pottery and resin sculpture. She enjoys illustrative and surreal art along with realistic and landscape work. She currently does commissioned pet and human portraits. She works as a Registered nurse. The COVID pandemic has brought back her love of art and she hopes to do it full time in the future.
In her free time she enjoys hiking, horseback riding, and hanging out with her pets.
