Microblading is a relatively new, manual method. It is considered to be semi-permanent, as compared to the traditional hair stroke technique.

It is done using a very fine blade to deposit pigments into the epidermis. Because we’re impacting color closer to the surface, the strokes appear crisp and very fine. There is no “spilling” under the skin.

This method is ideal for anyone wanting to enhance the look of their eyebrows.

The results are natural-looking, hair-like strokes, regardless of the amount of hair present. People suffering from alopecia, trigonometrical, or any other condition that causes hair loss benefit greatly from Microblading, as well as people who simply aren’t happy with their eyebrows.

The pigments used in this method have been formulated to match your original eyebrow color, and if the eyebrows are still present, blend perfectly into them. The results are a natural, flawless, fuller looking brow. Initially, the brows appear darker but fade significantly over a two week period.

It is absolutely crucial to have a touch up done, as it is very difficult to predict how well the skin will retain the pigment.

so what the heck is microblading?

With any tattoo, the ink molecules will move over time. This causes lines to lose their crisp appearance and eventually your eyebrows will look like a blob, not cute!

With microblading, these hair strokes fade out naturally giving you the longevity of natural-looking brows. The pigment in Microblading does not sit as deep as it would with a normal tattoo, allowing the ink to naturally fade with time.

Thus, with the required yearly maintenance, you can have those perfect eyebrows indefinitely without the blob!

SO WHY NOT JUST TATTOO MY EYEBROWS AND SAVE THE HASSLE OF DOING TOUCH-UPS?

WHat's the difference between microblading and shading?

Microblading is the appearance of additional hair strokes.

Shading is a different technique where a solid fill of color is applied under the mircobladed & natural hair strokes. Shading gives the appearance of a more defined brow, allowing for that “Make-up” appearance.

Depending on how extreme of a look the client wants, will determine the method of shading used. For a subtle appearance of shading, we can just fill in the tail and go light around the front of the brow. This is what I recommend to most clients as it holds up really well with time and gives a client that clean, crisp brow they are searching for without the extreme of an ombre brow.

What is an ombre brow you ask? An ombre shade is a technique where the shading is very heavy at the tail and ombres off to the front of the brow. This is more of a trendy look which is why I do not recommend it to most of my clients.

However, for the right client, this can be really beautiful and fun look to rock every day!
